Linear and Acrodyne Announce Sales Agreement
April 11, 2008, Elgin IL. Linear Industries Inc and Acrodyne Industries Inc announce a joint agreement to develop, promote and support a complete line of economic solid state digital TV transmitters for North America. Gustavo Figueiredo, President of LINEAR Industries said "Acrodyne has a great reputation and this product compliments their existing high power transmitter line". Figueiredo said "LINEAR will still manufacture our own series of transmitters and still deliver excellent quality budget friendly products to the industry, the two lines offered by both Acrodyne and Linear are complimentary and designed to meet vast and different needs of North American broadcasters." Perry Priestley Vice President of Sales for LINEAR said" The new line of digital TV transmitters is ideal for the analog Translator and LPTV broadcaster looking for a cost effective solution with quality and performance". Priestley went on to say "This line is rugged, well constructed and offers all the performance you would expect from a top of the line technology. Nat Ostroff, President and CEO of Acrodyne said "Ai will support the thousands of low and medium power products that Acrodyne installed in the field since 1968". Ostroff went on to say "The same highly regarded service and support organization will also support these new low power products. This new line perfectly augments our current portfolio providing Ai with a full range of digital TV transmitters".
